Before & Extended Care
Before and After Care is available to all SSJJ students and has been crafted to optimize the educational experience of our scholars. The staff provides supervision and care during the before and after school hours, insuring that children of working parents are cared for in a safe environment.
|7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m||Monday through Friday (when school is in session). ||Free to all SSJJ Students|
Students report to the cafeteria or library at the beginning of the school day. Breakfast is available upon request, to students who report to the cafeteria by 7:40 a.m.
The Kiddie Kare After-School program is available from 3:00 p.m. to 5:15 p.m., Monday through Friday, when school is in session. The Kiddie Kare Program provides supervised playtime, which includes games, story-time, movie time, Arts and Crafts, and a light nutritious snack. Students are able to begin homework while in Kiddie Kare. Students report to the library at the end of school day. This program is for SS. James & John Catholic School students only and operates on the same schedule as the school does for closings, early dismissals, and late openings. Kiddie Kare is licensed by the State of Maryland and follows the guidelines for School Age After School Care Programs. Extended care drop-in service is also available to parents for emergency use.
